Welcome to my Website

Natalie Brendle Art

Hello and welcome to my gallery. I paint as a form of storytelling. All art has a significance and a deep meaning for the creator and for those who are viewing the creation. The beauty in each piece is that it may tell a different story for every viewer, regardless of the intended interpretation. A few thoughtfully placed strokes and a perfect choice of color provide the finest details. I invite you to take some time to check out my work. What stands out to you? What does each piece mean to you? What kind of stories do you see? My site offers many different stories in the form of paintings or illustrations. The mediums I work in are primarily acrylic paints, sketches, and watercolor. If you prefer a particular medium other than these, I also work in pen and ink, digital illustrations, and pastels. I hope you enjoy exploring my page and all of the stories that I've painted.

Making the most of your memories

How can I help you to bring your story to life through art? I take time to listen to my commissioned clients to draw out their stories. Recently, I had the privilege of creating a painting of a beloved, late-family member holding their newborn niece. Unfortunately, they did not have the privilege of meeting their niece, but I was very happy to help create a moment through art. If you’re not looking to commission a piece of artwork, my site also lists the originals that I have in stock and there are prints of some my originals. Please explore and discover how my gift of turning stories into artwork can meet your needs.

Enjoy My Best Pieces

Let me introduce to you my favorite pieces:

Sacrifice- based upon the story of the Last Supper (Matthew 26:26-29). This piece was completed while I was in high school. Sitting at the table, Christ broke the bread and declared to His disciples that the broken bread represents his body that was broken for us. He then took up the wine and said that this represents the blood He poured out for us. The wood represents the cross that He was nailed to. The black represents the sin that surrounds us. His white garments represents His purity and His holiness. Like many of my paintings, each color, each item carries significance, where the whole piece carries the story. Because it holds so much weight and significance to me, I believe it is one of my best pieces in skill and meaning.

Tribute to Chagall- I had to make this piece in high school for an assignment. We had to choose an artist from a specific time period and then write about the artist while also making a tribute. Chagall was not my first pick but because my favorite artist, Van Gogh, was already taken, my teacher suggested Chagall. Having to write a report on him made me fall in love with his work. Although, he has a bit of a sad story, I loved how much he painted his wives, while also incorporating a so many unique and creative objects or people. The piece itself is three different mediums with three of the same portrait repeated. The left side is oil pastels. The middle is acrylic paint, and the right side is watercolor pencils. Because of the way I draw and paint, however, it’s very difficult to differentiate all three mediums in the piece. It’s also one of my most colorful, which is why I also love it.
